    Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed tours AI innovations at GITEX Global

    MENA Newswire News Desk: Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre on October 15. The event, themed “Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy,” is recognized as the world’s largest annual technology exhibition.

    During his visit, Sheikh Khaled toured various national and local pavilions and was briefed on a range of initiatives aimed at accelerating digital transformation through advanced AI technology. Key projects showcased by the participating entities emphasized the use of AI to enhance government services and drive digital innovation across the UAE. One of Sheikh Khaled’s key stops included the pavilion of the Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), which highlighted the council’s latest technological innovations aimed at boosting AI research and development.

    Additionally, he visited pavilions from companies such as e& and Space42, a UAE-based leader in AI-powered space technology. These visits emphasized the UAE’s growing investment in cutting-edge technologies and space exploration. Sheikh Khaled also toured the pavilion of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), one of the region’s top defense and security entities. The company showcased its advancements in technology designed to bolster security and defense capabilities within the region.

    The 44th edition of GITEX Global marks the largest gathering in the event’s history, featuring more than 6,500 exhibitors, 1,800 startups, and 1,200 investors from over 180 countries. The event also brought together experts from government, investment, and academia to discuss the latest trends and innovations across AI and digital technologies.
